To further roleplay the Detroit Fire Department & EMS allows its members to create, maintain and obtain membership in subdivisions. Subdivisions allow Firefighters/Paramedics to receive specialized training and become experts in specific areas of enforcement. All subdivisions have internal rank structures, vehicle/uniform structures and documents which are maintained by their appointed coordinators in conjunction with the Detroit Fire Department's Command Staff and Administration Team.
Medical Examiers Office
Dedicated to providing emergency medical services and patient transport via air. Equipped with advanced medical technology and highly trained flight medics and pilots, this division ensures quick response times to critical incidents, offering lifesaving care en route to medical facilities.
Search and Rescue Division
A specialized team trained to locate, extract, and assist individuals in emergencies, including natural disasters, lost or stranded persons, and hazardous situations. They utilize specialized vehicles, equipment, and techniques for land, water, and aerial operations to ensure successful rescue missions.
Fire Marshal’s Division
Focuses on fire prevention, investigation, and enforcement of fire safety codes. Responsibilities include inspecting buildings, ensuring compliance with regulations, investigating the causes of fires, and educating the community about fire safety practices to reduce risks.
